Jewellery retailers enjoyed increased sales in May with consumers hitting the high street to spend ahead of the coming Budget announcement on June 22.
Accountancy and business advisory company BDO LLP reported that overall high street sales rose for the fourth consecutive month in May, increasing 5.4% like-for-like against the same period last year. Its High Street Sales Tracker found that fashion sales, including jewellery, had risen by 5.3% against the same period last year.
