LAS VEGAS—MGM Mirage Inc. officials building the CityCenter complex on the Las Vegas Strip say rooms in three of its hotels will use advanced technology to let guests customize their room environment.

The company says guests staying at the $9.1 billion complex expected to open next year will be able to save settings for lights, the television, music and curtains, and have the room recognize them and adjust when the guest enters or leaves.

MGM Mirage Chief Design and Construction Officer Bobby Baldwin says the sophisticated technology will be used in the casino-hotel Aria, and non-gambling hotels Mandarin Oriental and the Harmon Hotel, Spa & Residences.

Four-year-old Grace Layman, decked out in full frilly flower girl regalia, excitedly led her smiling surprise guest to the separate kids’ party she was hosting at her dad’s wedding reception. Mickey Mouse wowed everyone — grown-ups too.

”I was teary eyed,” said the groom, Grace’s 31-year-old dad, Grant Layman. “It was fantastic.”

Layman, a Columbus businessman, said he and his wife, Jennifer, also in business, opted for a Disney destination wedding in large part because of Grace and all of their friends’ children.

While most bride and grooms traditionally cut a wedding cake on their special day, fast food fans Tom and Kerry Watts enjoyed a huge burger complete with all the trimmings.

General Hospital actress Julie Berman married commercial real estate broker Michael Grady in Los Angeles on Aug. 15, her rep Nicole Nassar tells PEOPLE exclusively.
